American cruise lines are one of the smaller lines and only operate three vessels at this time: the American Spirit, American Glory and American Eagle cruise ships. The American Spirit is currently the most famous one of these vessels – and also the biggest one – permitting American cruise lines to transport 100 passengers on it. The American Glory and the American Eagle will only transport about 50 guests each. Already commissioned is the American Star, which will surpass American cruise lines’ other vessels once it is put into service in the month of June, 2007. It will still only carry the same number of passengers as the American Spirit, but in doing so it will also introduce new luxuries as standard operating equipment that are currently considered upgrades.
There are many advantages to traveling with American cruise lines. They offer wonderful itineraries on American Hawaii and Safari cruises, while not attempting to compete with the pomp and glitz that her competitors Norwegian cruise lines offer American. Instead, American cruise lines focus on the comfort of their passengers, on the quiet evenings with a good book, the attendance of interesting lectures, and just the generally relaxed atmosphere that allows passengers to become guests, and guests to turn into friends.
There is little that the American cruise line will not do to make you more comfortable, and anyone who has ever signed up for one of her American cruises knows that there is something different about this travel experience that sometimes simply cannot be put into words but has to be experienced first hand. Whether you want to visit New England’s islands, or Chesapeake Bay, the small vessels will let you get to places that other cruise operators can only dream of. There is not need for an American Hawaii cruise line or an Alaska American cruise Holland offers; instead, the company has chosen to remain true to its name and not worry about the American Hawaiian cruises that are so quintessential with other operators. In this case, there is one thing that is not new with the company: the commitment to excellence and understanding that the American heritage is perhaps the most exciting adventure of all.
